16 years ago, I was going along doing “the college thing”, when I found out I was pregnant. I decided I wanted to carry the baby full term and make decisions from there.

My decision early on was that adoption was the best option for me.

At 21 years old it was hard not to be selfish, but I had to make the best decision for the baby. She didn’t ask to be born in those circumstances.

From the moment I reached out to Colorado Christian Services, I knew it was a good fit. It felt like home, and the staff felt like family. Sixteen years later, it still feels the same way.

Since then, I grew up and made a life. I now have a family of my own. I have been able to make the happy home and life I wasn’t able to 16 years ago.

She is so loved and so taken care of by two parents, because of adoption. She has such a loving family. I have no regrets. Adoption has affected my life in such a positive way.
